Costs
All Ukrainians residing in the Netherlands can make use of the Medical Care Scheme for Ukrainians (RMO). This scheme ensures that medical care, including mental health care, is fully covered. This means that Ukrainians in need of care in the Netherlands, such as treatments at Gabriël Care, will not incur any costs, as the reimbursement is fully provided through the scheme. A valid referral letter from a general practitioner is required to qualify for this reimbursement.
Reimbursement
Your health insurer is legally required to reimburse at least 75% of basic and specialized mental healthcare. Any costs that are not reimbursed will be fully covered by Gabriel Care, and you, as the client, will not be charged for them.
To be eligible for this reimbursement, you must provide a valid referral letter.
For 2022, the government has set the minimum deductible at €385 per year. This means you must pay the first €385 (or more, if you have chosen a higher deductible) of your healthcare costs yourself, unless you have already used it for other care in 2022. These are the only costs you will incur for your treatment at Gabriel Care.
With many health insurers, you must submit the invoice to your insurer yourself and pay the amount after the reimbursement has been deposited into your account. You should pay the amount to the bank account listed on the invoice. Please also send us the proof of payment or insurance details.
Some insurers reimburse the amount directly to Gabriel Care through a request form. By completing this form, you give permission for Gabriel Care to directly claim the costs from your insurer on your behalf.
Because the reimbursement percentage depends on the type of basic insurance you have at the start of the treatment, we advise you to always check with your insurer in advance regarding the exact reimbursement for treatment at an out-of-network mental healthcare provider with an approved quality standard.
If you choose to pay for the treatment yourself, you will pay 85% of the statutory Dutch Healthcare Authority (NZa) rate. If you would like more information about this, please feel free to contact us.
No-show
If you are unable to attend an appointment, we kindly ask you to cancel the appointment 24 hours in advance. This can be done by phone or email. If you do not cancel in time, we will be forced to charge a no-show fee of €55.00. This no-show fee is not reimbursed by the insurer. You can contact the therapist to cancel your appointment, and it is advisable to schedule a follow-up appointment at the same time.
Cancellation Due to Lack of Contact
If no follow-up appointment is scheduled within 6 weeks of the last treatment contact, the treatment will be unilaterally terminated, and the treatment will be closed.
